March 30, 2014If you are looking for ways to get involved I have listed a few organizations here for you to consider. As a military spouse, issues that affect our military are very close to my heart. I have listed some organizations that do great work to help out our Military and Veterans as well.
Life Impact International
You can take a short or long term trip to Thailand. You must fill out forms, complete a background check, and submit three references. Click here to learn more.
Tiny Stars
As an individual or as a group you can adopt an agent, and get updates of their investigations. When you sponsor a agent you are responsible for funding the agent for a minimum of six months. They are also looking for volunteers to help call celebrity agents, publicists and managers in Hollywood and New York for backstage passes, coffee or lunch dates, etc. to help collect items to list on Charity Buzz.
Operation Underground Railroad
Operation Underground Railroad is a non-profit organization that does operations both here in the U.S. and abroad working with governments to stop child trafficking and to ensure victims are set up with aftercare. They have many volunteer opportunities.
The Rape Foundation
The Rape Foundation has three centers to help victims of sexual assault and sexual abuse. They have a Rape Treatment Center which is a place for care and treatment of rape victims. There is the Stuart House serving sexually abused children. They also have Verna Harrah Clinic which is a 24 hour emergency medical care, forensic services, and counseling services for sexual assault victims in the immediate aftermath of a sexual assault. Donations help support these three centers. Part of their mission is, “Bringing state-of-the-art, comprehensive care to rape victims and sexually abused children; providing prevention programs to reduce the incidence of these crimes; and giving training to victim service providers to enhance the treatment victims receive wherever they turn for help”.

RAINN
RAINN is looking for volunteers to help on their National Sexual Assault Hotline and Online Hotline by providing support to victims and their family and friends. You can join their Speaker Bureau. They are looking for victims or friends and family of members of victims to share their experiences. They can help you partner up to volunteer for your local rape crisis center.
National Suicide Prevention Lifeline
The National Suicide Prevention Lifeline: “Many crisis centers in the Lifeline network are primarily staffed by volunteers, and they need your support. Search the Crisis Center Locator to find the center closest to you, then contact them to ask about volunteer opportunities”.
Bikers Against Child Abuse
Bikers Against Child Abuse (BACA) exists with the intent to create a safer environment for abused children by helping to empower children to not feel afraid of the world they live in. They lend their physical and emotional support in a variety of ways. Find the Chapter nearest you.
Military
USO
The mission of the USO is to “lift the spirit of America’s troops and their families”. The USO has a variety of volunteer opportunities. Make a donation. Learn more about the USO.
Operation Once in a Lifetime

Wounded Warrior Project
Their mission is to honor and to empower wounded warriors. They seek to raise awareness and to provide unique, direct programs and services to meet the needs of injured service members. Operation Phantom Support
Operation Phantom Support is a fantastic organization that maintains a special place in my heart. They have a wide grange of programs to help support the military community from a resale store, to a food pantry, helping with school supplies (re-supply), toys for troops, and much more. They have wonderful volunteer opportunity’s. They are located in Killeen, Texas and providing services to one of the Nations biggest US military bases; please consider donating to this fantastic organization.
